Read the following:- 1) Memo.No.1116/V3/2011, Dated 19.11.2011 of Transport Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. 2) From Smt N.Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Nizamabad Representation Dated 16.11.2009. *** O R D E R: In the reference first read above, disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Smt N.Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Nizamabad on the allegation that she failed to supervise the staff of the office and for violation of Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Conduct)) Rules 1964 and Circular Memo.No.3/15153/V3/1998, dated 15.02.2007 of Transport Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, while she was functioning as Additional Charge of Secretary & Regional Transport Authority, Nizamabad during the period from 18.08.2009 to 29.03.2010. 2. In her representation 2nd read above, Smt N.Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Transport Commissioner submitted her written statement of defense contending that on the date of surprise check she was not in the office and she went to Collectorate, Nizamabad to attend Prajavani Programme conducted by the District Collector; that thus she was not a party to the surprise check proceedings; that the averments against the staff based on the surprise check proceedings cannot be considered as evidence to frame a charge against her unless the averments are tested or proved and, therefore, requested to drop further action against her. 3. Government, after careful examination of the matter have observed that she was not present at the time of the surprise check; that there is no case of cash found on her and therefore decided to drop further action against Smt N.Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Nizamabad. 4. Accordingly, Government hereby drop further action against Smt N. Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Nizamabad in the matter. 5. The Transport Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take further action in the matter accordingly.
