U.O.Note No.23/COI-R/2012,Dt.04.02.2012. >><< O R D E R :- Whereas inquiry under Rule 20 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control, Appeal) Rule, 1991 is being held` on certain irregularities committed in restoration of coal supply to M/s. G.V.Chemicals, Chittoor District by Sri V.R.V.R.Naik, former General Manager, District Industries Centre, Chittoor, Sri P. Yesudas, the then IPO, Tirupathi and Sri K.Guravaiah, the then Deputy Director, District Industries Centre, Chittoor; though the unit was not functioning. 2. Whereas, Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, Commissioner of Inquiries was appointed as Inquiring Authority to inquire into the charges against the above said staff vide G.O. Rt. No.434, Industries & Commerce (Vigilance) Department, dt.25.07.2009. 3. Whereas, the Registrar, Commissioner of Inquiries, in his U.O. Note 2nd read above has informed that Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, Commissioner of Inquiries was retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.12.2011. Hence, he has requested to reassign the above pending case to Sri Jitender IPS, Commissioner of Inquiries, General Administration (COI) Department. 4. And whereas, Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, after having heard and recorded the whole/part of the evidence has since been retired from service, and it is necessary to appoint another officer as Inquiring Authority to inquire into the charges against the staff at para-1 above. 5. Now, therefore, after careful consideration on the request of Registrar, Commissioner of Inquiries, 2nd read above, the Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) read with sub-rule (22) of rule 20 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control, Appeal) Rule,1991 hereby appoint Sri Jitender IPS, Commissioner of Inquiries, General Administration (COI) Department as Inquiring Authority to inquire into the charges framed against the staff at para-1 above.
