GOCERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT Labour Employment Training & Factories Department – Insurance Medical Services – Setting up of new AYUSH (Ayurveda & Homeo) Units for the benefit of ESI beneficiaries in ESI Hospitals with supporting staff – Permission Accorded - Orders – Issued. ============================================================= LABOUR EMPLOYMENT TRAINING & FACTORIES (IMS) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No. 177 Dated:06-02-2012 Read the following :- 1) From the Dir, IMS, Hyd., Lr.Rc.No.17893/P/2009, dated.01-04-2011. 2) Govt.Lr.No.2744/IMS-1/2011, dated.26-04-2011. 3) From the Dir IMS, Hyd., Lr.Rc.No.17893/P/2009, dated.16-5-2011. 4) From the Dir, IMS, Hyd., Lr.Rc.No.17893/P/2009, dated.29-10-2011. x-x-x ORDER: The Director of Insurance Medical Services, A.P., Hyderabad in his letter 1st read above has informed that out of (8) ESI Hospitals under the control of State Government, only one ESI Hospital, i.e., ESI Hospital, Sanathnagar is having AYUSH unit (Ayurveda and Homeo) and they are functioning successfully since 1992. 2. The DIMS has further stated that the Deputy Medical Commissioner(ISM), ESI Corporation, New Delhi vide his letter dated.10-01-2006 has informed that the ESI Corporation in its 134th meeting held on 21-12-2005 has taken a decision that “ESIC will bear the entire expenditure on setting up of ISM units in ESIS/ESIC hospitals/Dispensaries for the first five years instead of three years” and requested to take necessary action accordingly. During the recent meeting with Senior State Medical Commissioner, ESI Corporation, Hyderabad he was referring to setting up of Ayush Clinics (Ayurveda & Homeo) in the existing 8 ESI Hospitals at the earliest. The DIMS has therefore, proposed to set up new AYUSH Units (Ayurveda and Homeo) at remaining (7) ESI Hospital for ESI beneficiaries. 3. Further, the Director of Insurance Medical Services in his letter 4th read above, has informed that the Medical Officers of Ayurveda and Homeo working at ESI Hospital, Sanathnagar are deputed from the Indian Medicine. The DIMS has requested the Government to sanction the respective posts on contract basis. 4. In the circumstances stated by the Director, Insurance Medical Services, Hyderabad above, Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord permission to the Director, Insurance Medical Services, AP, Hyderabad to set up new AYUSH (Ayurveda & Homeo) Units for the benefit of ESI beneficiaries in the following ESI Hospitals. 1) ESI Hospital, Ramachandrapuram, Medak District 2) ESI Hospital, Sirpurkagaznagar, Adilabad District 3) ESI Hospital, Warangal, Warangal District 4) ESI Hospital, Vijayawada in Krishna District 5) ESI Hospital, Rajahmundry in East Godavari District 6) ESI Hospital, Vishakapatnam in Vishakapatnam District 7) ESI Hospital, Tirupathi in Chittoor District. P.T.O.,:: 2 :: 5. The Director, Insurance Medical Services, AP, Hyderabad is also permitted to recruit the following posts mentioned at Sl.No.1 to 4 on contract basis for one year duration to be renewed after a year based on performance and the need and the Sanitation services shall be obtained through sanitation services agency instead of contracting sweepers as at Sl.No.5.
