ORDER:
Charges were issued vide reference third read above, to Sri Y.V. Rama Mohan
Rao, the then Divisional Accounts Officer (Works), R&B Division, Visakhapatnam for the
alleged of procedural or financial lapses in purchase of caution / sign boards in Roads and
Buildings Division, Visakhapatnam; and , he has submitted his written statement of
defence denying the charge, vide reference fourth read above.
2. The Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) Administration, in his letter seventh read above, has
informed that Sri Y.V. Rama Mohan Rao, the then Divisional Accounts Officer (Works),
R&B Division, Visakhapatnam has failed in discharging his duties in obtaining the initials
of the then Executive Engineer, (R&B) Visakhapatnam, on single quotations and then
opened with proper initials. Futher, the rates can be checked with the observed data, if
necessary, but he did not follow the same. However, the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B)
Administration, requested to award a recorded warning to Sri Y.V. Rama Mohan Rao, the
then Divisional Accounts Officer (Works), R&B Division, Visakhapatnam, for his
negiligence.
3. Government, after careful examination of the matter, has observed that since
Sri Y.V. Rama Mohan Rao, the then Divisional Accounts Officer (Works), R&B Division,
Visakhapatnam, already retired from service, no warning (recordable) can be given to him.
Hence, taking a lenient view, it is decided and hereby drop further action against Sri Y.V.
Rama Mohan Rao, the then Divisional Accounts Officer (Works), R&B Division,
Visakhapatnam, in respect of the allegations of procedural or financial lapses in purchase
of caution / sign boards in Roads and Buildings Division, Visakhapatnam.
4. The Director of Works Accounts /Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) Administration
Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter.
