Read the following:-
From the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad Letter No.DCE-
II/OT1/SO4/Jamalapuram/Yerrupalem/Kmm/200/2011-12, Dated

ORDER:
In the letter read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad
has submitted an estimate for Rs.493.60 lakhs for the work “Repairs to Large
Tank near Jamalapuram (V), Yerrupalem (M), Khammam District” stating that
the Jamalapuram Tank is intended to irrigate an ayacut of 750 Acres. The tank
bund itself is a road connecting Jamalapuram Village and Remidicharla Village.
There is no other road expect this. Due to heavy cyclonic rains during Laila
and Jal cyclones the tank bund is heavily damaged and upstream slopes of
bund are sliped at different locations. Due to this, connectivity is closed in
between the above two villages. Present condition of bund is in dangerous
position and there is threat of breach at any time. This tank is only source for
agricultural and drinking water for human beings as well for cattle in and around
Jamalapuram Village. Therefore it is proposed to take up strengthening and
widening of tank bund, construction of CC guide walls on U/s slopes of tank
bund to avoid further slips of U/s slips and to have sufficient top width of bund
to 10 m for movement of vehicles and for tourism development, Gravel topping
on top of bund is proposed for movement of vehicles and repairs to sluices
including shuttering arrangements. Further, the Chief Engineer, Minor
Irrigation, Hyderabad has stated that an amount of Rs.44,520/- for the
component of jungle clearance could be taken up under MGNREGP. Hence he
has requested to accord administrative approval for the above work under
Normal State Plan.
2. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord
administrative approval for Rs.493.60 lakhs (Rupees four hundred ninty three
lakhs and sixty thousands only) for the work “Repairs to Large Tank near
Jamalapuram Village, Yerrupalem Mandal, Khammam District”.
3. Out of the amount sanctioned in para 2 above, an amount of Rs.493.155
lakhs shall be debitable to the Head of Account “4702 COL on M.I. – MH 101 -
GH 11 Normal State Plan – SH (12) – Construction & Restoration of MI
Sources – 530 Major Works / 531 Other Expenditure”
(PTO)4. The Rural Development Department have agreed to include the
component of jungle clearance under shelf of project for taking up it under
MGNREGP. Hence, the remaining amount of Rs.0.445 lakhs for the
component of jungle clearance shall be proposed under MGNREGP funds duly
including under shelf of project in consultation with Rural Development
Department
5. The Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad shall take further action
accordingly.
6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (Expr.PW)
Department vide their U.O.No.01066/36/A1/Expr.PW/12, dated 23.1.2012 and
PR & RD (RD) Department vide their U.O.No.3512/RD.II/A1/2012
