GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT I&CAD Department –Nizamabad District – Nizamsagar Project Emergent repairs to Large tank Ibrahim pet (V), Banswada (M), Nizamabad District with an amount of Rs 109.00 lakhs (Rupees one crore nine lakh only) – Permission – Accorded. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IRRIGATION & CAD (IW – ERD.1) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No. 224 Dated the 27th February, 2012 Read: From the Engineer-in-Chief (I), Hyd, Lr.No. ENC (I)/DCE. 1/OT.8/ AEE.3/785/11 VOL III, Dt.18.08.2011 and Dt.23.11.2011. ***** O R D E R : In the references read above, the Engineer-in-Chief (I), Hyderabad has informed that due to abnormal heavy downpour in certain Mandals of Nizamabad Dist., the Irrigation system of Nizamasagar project including system tanks have been damaged and breached. The Superintending Engineer, Irrigation Circle, Nizamabad has submitted that the main canal of Nizamsagar Project is badly damaged due to heavy rains on 13.07.2011 and 14.07.2011, 31.07.2011 & 01.08.2011 Banks of main canal / Distributory breached at some places, bungas formed and right side banks slipped at some places, and damages occurred to system tank also. The Superintending Engineer, Irrigation Circle, Nizamabad in his letter dt.31.10.2011 has submitted the estimate for the flood damages of large tank, Ibrahim pet (V), Banswada (M) along with the flood damage report in APFC Form-20 and proposed permanent repairs to strengthen the bund and re-construction of weir for the damages occurred to the tank with an estimated cost of Rs.109 Lakhs. And that it was requested to accord an administrative approval for the work “Emergent repairs to Large tank, Ibrahim pet (V), Banswada (Mandal), Nizamabad District for an amount of Rs.41.45 lakhs”. 2. Government, after careful examination of the above proposal, hereby accord permission to take up Emergent repairs to Large tank Ibrahim pet (V), Banswada (M), Nizamabad District under Nizamsagar project with an estimated cost of Rs.109.00 lakhs (Rupees one crore and nine lakh only) 3. The Expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above, shall be debited to the Head of Account “4700 COL on MI – Commercial 01 – Major Irrigation. 107 – Nizamsagar Project. – SH – 26 – Dam & Appurtenant works, 270 – Minor works, 272 – Maintenance.” P.T.O-2- 4. The Engineer-in-Chief (I), Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly. 5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (W &P) Dept. vide their U.O.No.405/F4(A2)/12, dt.10.02.2012.
