No. DCE-II/OT1/SO4/Pedda Cheru / Madhira / KMM/153/2011-12, Dt. 6.8.2011and even No. dated 7.1.2012. @@@ ORDER: In the letter read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad has submitted an estimate for the work “Cyclone Damage Repairs to Pedda Cheruvu, Madhira Village & Mandal, Khammam District” to accord administrative approval for Rs.230.00 lakhs stating that the above tank is having an ayacut of 567.00 acres. Due to heavy Cyclonic Rains during 2010, the tank bund is heavily damaged and likely to damage further if repairs are not done immediately. The U/s slopes slipped all along the bund from toe of the tank bund to certain height. There is R&B road existing on the top of this bund which is connecting to Vijayawada. The damage t the tank bund not only effect the ayacut, but also causes damage to the R&B Road thereby road connectivity is stopped. Further this tank is in the vicinity of NSP left canal and it receives water from NSP command. Since this tank is just adjacent to the Madhira Town, the town people utilize the water of this tank for washing clothes and other purposes. Due to movement of people on U/s slope of the tank bund, the slope is scouring. To avoid this, construction of steps is necessary at different location. Hence, it is proposed for improvements to tank bund. Further, he has stated that no component can be taken up under MGNREGS. Hence, he has requested to accord administrative approval in the matter. 2. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord administrative approval for Rs.230.00 lakhs (Rupees two hundred and thirty lakhs only) for the work “Cyclone Damage Repairs to Pedda Cheruvu, Madhira Village & Mandal, Khammam District”. (PTO)2 3. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above, shall be debitable to the Head of Account “4702 COL on M.I. – MH 101 – Surface Water GH - 11 Normal State Plan – SH (12) – Construction & Restoration of MI Sources – 530 Major Works / 531 Other Expenditure”. 4.
