ORDER:
In the reference read above, the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) State Roads has stated
that the village Ponnekallu is an important Major Panchayat in Tadikonda Assembly
Constituency of Guntur District. Two R&B roads namely (i) Guntur – Amaravathi road to
Ponnekallu (2 Km length) ends before starting of the village and (ii) Tyalluru –
Ponnekallu ends at the end of the village. There is a Panchayat road of 1.30 Km in the
Village limits connecting the ending chain age points of above two roads. Because it is a
connecting village of the two R&B roads, all the vehicular traffic should pass through
this road only. It is a narrow road without margins and many difficulties are being faced
by the Vehicular traffic to cross and overtake. There is no scope to widen the road even
to minimum required width as there are houses adjoining the road edges. During the
development of roads under Command Area Development programme 25 years back,
the bypass road was sanctioned for Ponnekallu village to a length of 1.80 Km and the
work was not materialized. The new proposed alignment is 1.80 Km length starts @ Km
1.482 of GA road to Ponnekallu and joins at Km 18/4 of Tyalluru-Ponnekallu road. The
By’pass road is to be formed in private fields. An extent of Ac 10.65 Cents has to be
acquired to form by’pass road. The Collector & District Magistrate, Guntur has
requested to deposit an amount of Rs.78 Lakhs towards Land Acquisition. Hence
provision has been made for Rs.78 Lakhs for Land Acquisition in the estimate for the
above work for Rs.2.75 Crores. He has, therefore, requested the Government for
sanction of Rs.2.75 Crores for the work “Formation of By’pass road to Ponnekallu village
from Km 0/0 to 1/8 in Guntur District under Plan (MDR) duly providing additional
grant”.
2. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord
administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.2.75 Crores (Rupees two crores and
seventy five lakhs only) for the work “Formation of By’pass road to Ponnekallu village
from Km 0/0 to 1/8 in Guntur District” under Plan (MDR) duly providing additional
grant.
