2. From the Engineer-in-Chief (I.W), Lr. No. ENC / IW/ P& M/ EE.III/ DEE.10/ AE/ REs/
275/ 11, dated: 28.06.2011.

ORDER:
In the reference 1st read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation has submitted the
revised estimate to the Engineer-in-Chief (IW), Hyderabad for the work of Formation of
Reservoir across local stream near Movad (V). Asifabad (M), Adilabad District for an
amount of Rs. 21,98,06,484 /- duly stating that Government have accorded administrative
approval for the subject work for Rs.400.00 lakhs, vide vide G.O.Ms. No.32, I & CAD (PW:
EA) Dept., dated:06.02.07 and Revised Administrative approval for Rs.830.00 lakhs, vide
G.O.Rt.No.1379, dated:17.08.09. Technical sanction was accorded by Chief Engineer,
Minor Irrigation for works and lands separately for Rs.814.40 lakhs and 15.60 lakhs
respectively priced with S.S.R. 2008-2009. The work was entrusted to M/s AKR
Constructions on competitive tender basis at (-) 17.30% less on ECV , vide SE/MIP Circle,
Bellampally LS AB No.15/2009-10, dt: 14.12.2009. The original estimate was sanctioned
based on the tentative drawings for bund and HC weir as per Minor Irrigation guidelines. As
the height of bund is 19.28m which is beyond the scope of Minor Irrigation guidelines, the
Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organization, Hyderabad has communicated approved
designs and drawings for Earthen bund, Weir and surplus course based on the site surveys,
trial pit results and test results of the proposed soils, and requested to obtain the approval of
the Committee of Chief Engineers for recommending to the Government for obtaining
administrative approval.
2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Engineer-in-Chief (IW) has stated that the
Committee of Chief Engineers after examining the deviations in the revised estimate and
after detailed discussions, has recommended for Revised Administrative Sanction for
Rs.21,98,06,484/- under AIBP for above work.
3. Government after careful consideration of the matter, hereby accord revised
administrative approval for Rs.21,98,06,484/- (Rupees Twenty one crores ninety eight lakhs
six thousand and four hundred and eighty four only) for the work of Formation of Reservoir
across local stream near Movad (V), Asifabad (M), Adilabad District.

4. The Expenditure for the said work may be chargeable to the head of account “4702
capital out-lay on MI Sources – MH (101) Surface water - G.H (21) - SH (12)- 530 Major
Works / 531 Other Expenditure.”
5. The Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation is requested to take further necessary action
accordingly.
6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (Expr. P.W) Dept. vide their U.O.
No. 3516/146/ A1/ Expr. PW/12, dated: 03.03.2012.
