Read: From the Chief Engineer, NWA, CWC, GOI Lr.No.4/A&C/Misc.Tech/2012-NWA/ 679-735, dt.24.2.2012 * * * O R D E R: The National Water Academy, an agency under the Govt. of India, Central Water Commission, has been designing and conducting various Training Programs covering the whole gamut of Water Resources Development and Management (WRD&M) for the benefit of all stakeholders of Water Sector especially the officers and functionaries of State Organizations active in the field of WRD&M, as per their assessment. It is, therefore, essential to supplement the feed back from the State WRD about the needs for capacity building in Water Resource Sector for more effective implementation of the training programs. 2. In the reference read above, the NWA has expressed the necessity to assess the present training needs of the Department and inform the same to NWA, to incorporate in the Training Calendar of NWA and to put in an institutional arrangement to review the training needs periodically so as to reflect the emerging needs of the Department. For the purpose, it was suggested to identify a Senior Officer as “Nodal Officer for Training/ Training Coordinator” for the Department to facilitate a direct and meaningful interaction and exchange of views in a single window approach. 3. Accordingly, after due consideration of the above, Government, hereby nominate the Chief Engineer, Human Resources Development, Irrigation & CAD Department, as the ‘Nodal Officer for Training’ to assess the training needs of the Department and to supplement the same to the National Water Academy to be incorporated in the Training Calendar. The Chief Engineer, HRD shall also review the training needs periodically with the concerned viz., the Engineer-in-Chief (AW) and the Director General, WALAMTARI, so as to reflect the emerging needs of the Department, before supplementation.
