ORDER:
In the letter read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation,
Hyderabad has submitted an estimate for Rs.17.20 lakhs for the
work “FDR Laying Protection Bund at Narayana Swamy Temple,
Narayanapur Village, Manopad Mandal of Mahabubnagar District”
stating that a Vagu is passing adjacent to the temple towards south
side. Due to heavy rains during October/2009, the flood water
entered into the temple premises and damaged the food grains in the
store room. A small protection bund is also laid long back, which is
not sufficient whenever heavy floods occurred. The villagers have
requested to protect the temple from flood water by constructing the
protection bund along Vagu. Therefore said work is proposed.
Further, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad has stated
that an amount of Rs.65,000/- for the component of clearing thick
jungle growth including bushes will be taken up under MGNREGP.
Hence he has requested to accord administrative sanction in the
matter.
2. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby
accord administrative approval for Rs.17.20 lakhs (Rupees Seventeen
lakhs and twenty thousand only) for the work “FDR Laying
Protection Bund at Narayana Swamy Temple, Narayanapur Village,
Manopad Mandal, Mahabubnagar District”.
3. Out of the amount sanctioned in para 2 above, an amount of
Rs.16.55 lakhs shall be debitable to the Head of Account “4702 COL
on MI - MH (101) – Surface Water GH – (11) Normal State Plan SH –
(12) Construction & Restoration of MI sources – 530 Major Works /
531 Other Expenditure”.2
4. The Rural Development Department have agreed to include the
component of clearing thick jungle growth including bushes under
shelf of project for taking it under MGNREGP. Hence, the remaining
amount of Rs.0.65 lakhs for the component of clearing thick jungle
growth including bushes shall be proposed under MGNREGP funds
duly including under shelf of project in consultation with Rural
Development Department.
5. The Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad shall take
further action accordingly.
