From the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad Letter
No.DCE.Spl/OT(D)/AEE2/SCP/Mbnr/11, Dated 3.6.2011 and even No. Dated
14.12.2011.

ORDER:
In the letter read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad has
submitted two estimates for construction of Check dams in Mahabubnagar District to
accord administrative approval for Rs.91.10 under SCP stating that the villagers of
Jadcherla and Balanagar Mandals have no tank irrigation facilities. During rainy
season, adjacent vagu flood water is going waste. At present, the main source of
irrigation is through open wells and bore wells only. There are small poor and
marginal farmers and majority of them belong to SC community. The Dy.Director,
GWD has recommended the two sites for construction of check dams. Therefore it
is proposed to construct check dams to stabilize the ayacut under the bore wells and
open wells. The details of the 2 schemes proposed in Jadcherla and Balanagar
Mandals of Mahabubnagar District are as shown below.

Further, the CE/MI has stated that no component can be tagged with MGNREGS.
Hence, he has requested to accord administrative approval for Rs.91.10 lakhs for
construction of (2) check dams in Jadcherla and Balangar Mandals of
Mahabubnagar District under SCP funds.

2. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord
administrative approval for Rs.91.10 lakhs (Rupees ninty one lakhs and ten
thousands only) for the following works.

3. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debitable to the Head of
Account “4702 COL on MI Sources – MH 789 – SCP – GH (11) – NSP – SH (12) – C
& R of MI -530 Major Works / 531 Other Expenditure”
4. This order issues with concurrence of the Finance (Expr.PW) Department vide
their U.O.No.1810/60/A1/Expr.PW/12, dated 28.1.2012
