ORDER:-
In the letter read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation has
submitted an estimate for Rs. 11.40 lakhs for the work FDR 2010 –
Permanent repairs to Feeder Channel to Gurijekunta Cheru, Gurijeunta
Village, Cheriyal Mandal, Warangal District stating that the above Cheroo is
having an ayacut of 68.10 acres. During the floods, the water from the vagu is
diverted into the feeder channel to fill the Gurijekunta cheroo and other tanks
below this cheroo. During rainy season, the earthen bund is breaching
continuously at the beginning and the water is flowing into the vagu instead of
flowing into the cheroo. Hence, it is proposed to construct the guide wall to
some distance far from vagu, so that the total water will be diverted into the
Cheroo. Further he has stated that an amount of Rs. 1680/- is proposed for the
component of jungle clearance to take up it under MGNREGP. Hence, he has
requested to accord the administrative approval for Rs. 11.40 lakhs for the
above work under Normal State plan.
