ORDER:
In the letter read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation,
Hyderabad has submitted an estimate for the work “Railway
Affecting Tank- Improvements to Pedda Cheruvu near
Challasamudram Village, Yellandu Mandal of Khammam District” to
accord administrative approval for Rs.30.25 lakhs stating that the
above tank is having a registered ayacut of 800 Acres serving
through two sluices. During post monsoon period, bunga’s have
formed along the bund from Ch 4/0 – 18/0 and water jetted through
the bund resulting formation of longitudinal cracks and sinking of
bund in the above chainages and become dangerous. Due to
periodical rains, the weir has discharged maximum flood than the
designed flood resulting erosion to apron and masonry got
disturbed and water is leaking through Head Wall. This tank is
situated about 9 Km distance from Railway Bridge in between
station Dornakal-Khammam and Dornakal-Papatpalli. In the review
meeting held with Railway authorities on 17/5/2011 by Irrigation
Officials, it is instructed to take up immediate repairs. Therefore,
the estimate is prepared for improvements to bund and weir etc. for
Rs. 30.25 lakhs. Further, the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation,
Hyderabad has stated that an amount of Rs.16,016/-/- will be
taken up under MGNREGP. Hence, he has requested to accord
administrative approval in the matter.2. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby
accord administrative approval for Rs. 30.25 lakhs (Rupees thirty
lakhs and twenty five thousands only) for the work “Railway
Affecting Tank- Improvements to Pedda Cheruvu near
Challasamudram Village, Yellandu Mandal of Khammam District”
3. Out of the amount sanctioned in para 2 above, an amount of
Rs.30.09 lakhs shall be debitable to the Head of Account “4702
COL on MI - MH (101) – Surface Water GH – (11) Normal State
Plan SH – (12) Construction & Restoration of MI schemes – 530
Major Works / 531 Other Expenditure”.

4. The Rural Development Department have agreed to include
the component of clearing thick jungle growth including bushes
under shelf of project for taking it under MGNREGP. Hence, the
remaining amount of Rs.0.16 lakhs for the component of clearing
thick jungle growth including bushes shall be proposed under
MGNREGP funds in consultation with Rural Development
Department.
5. The Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad shall take
further action accordingly.
6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (Expr.PW)
Department vide their U.O.No.6754/246 / A1 / Expr. PW / 2012,
Dated 16.3.2012 and PR & RD (RD) Department vide their
U.O.No.7584/RD II/A1/2012, Dated 30.3.2012.
