ORDER: Whereas, it has been made to appear that Sri D.Basaveswara Chowdary, the then Development Officer (H&T), Ananthapur now retired Assistant Director, Kadapa while serving as in the Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Ananthapur while functioning as Development Officer (H&T), Ananthapur during the period from 1-1-1993 to 30-10-2008 has failed to discharge the duties and responsibilities of Paid Secretary of Kothapeta WCS, Urvakonda and Chowdeswari SWCS, Urvakonda as per bye law No. 32 of bye laws of the societies and responsible for the major irregularities happened in the above two (02) societies and misappropriation of Marketing Incentive funds sanctioned to the tune of Rs.92.861 lakhs various schemes. Thus he exhibited gross negligence and misconduct of discharging of the legitimate duties entrusted to him in contradiction of the Rule 3 of APCS (Conduct) Rule 1964. 2. Now, therefore, sanction is accorded under sub-clause (i) of clause (b) of sub-rule(2) of Rule 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980 to initiate departmental proceedings against the said Sri D.Basaveswara Chowdary, the then Development Officer (H&T), Ananthapur now retired Assistant Director, Kadapa. 3. It is further directed that the said departmental proceedings shall be conducted in accordance with the procedure laid down in Rule 20 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Service (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991, by the Principal Secretary to Government, Industries & Commerce Department, AP Secretariat, Hyderabad.
