The South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur, under the Ministry of Culture, will organize a
special cultural programme titled “Kutumb Rangale Kavyat” on the eve of Maharashtra Day.
The programme will be held on April 30, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Centre’s campus in Nagpur.
The event will feature a unique Kavyanatya (poetry theatre) performance by renowned
artist Vishwanath Bapat (popularly known as Visubhau Bapat), a Limca Book of Records holder.
A distinguished artist from Mumbai, Shri Bapat has received training in music and theatre from
eminent gurus and has established himself as a leading performer in poetic monologues. He has
been honoured with the title of “Kavyadoot” by noted poet Shankar Vaidya and has also
received the Kamlakar Vaishampayan Monologue Memorial Award from the Akhil Bharatiya
Marathi Natya Parishad.
Shri Bapat has delivered numerous performances across the country and holds records in the
Limca Book of Records for continuous Marathi poetry recitation, including performances lasting
11 hours and an extended record of 15 hours. He has conducted over 2000 performances of his
poetic presentations to date.
This unique presentation of “Kutumb Rangale Kavyat” is expected to offer an enriching and
memorable experience for audiences. Director of the Centre, Smt. Astha Karlekar, has appealed
to art lovers and the general public to attend the programme in large numbers and enjoy the
