New Delhi, the 25th April, 2017
S.O. 1321(E).—Shri P.K. Sarkar, Deputy Director General of Mines Safety (Mining),
Directorate General of Mines Safety (Headquarters), Dhanbad on his appointment as Director
General of Mines Safety in the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad has taken over the
charge of the post with effect from in the afternoon of 10th April, 2017.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the Mines
Act, 1952 (35 of 1952), the Central Government hereby appoints Shri P.K. Sarkar, Director General,
Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad to be the Chief Inspector of Mines for all the
territories to which the said Act extends.
