The Central Govt. after consulting the Central Council of Indian Medicine, hereby makes the following further amendments in the Fourth Schedule to the said Act.
This notification, S.O. 1198(E), issued by the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) on April 25, 2015, announces amendments to the Fourth Schedule of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).
The amendment, made in consultation with the Central Council of Indian Medicine, adds Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu, Nepal, to the list of recognized institutions. Specifically, it recognizes the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree from Tribhuvan University, effective from January 1, 2000 onwards. The degree is Ayurved Chikitsa Shastra Shastri.
The notification is issued under the authority granted by subsection 2 of section 16 of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.

Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970), the Central Government after consulting the Central Council of Indian Medi-
cine, hereby makes the following further amendments in the Fourth Schedule to the said Act, namely:—
In the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, in the Fourth Schedule, in column (1), after 'University of
Jaffna, Sri Lanka' and the entries relating there to, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:—
