The Central Govt. hereby makes the following Rules amending the Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011, These rules may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Amendment) Rules, 2014.

(2) य ेराजप+ म, (cid:28)काशन क(cid:26) तारीख को (cid:28)वृत होगे ।
2. खा(cid:18) सुर(cid:20)ा और मानक िनयम, 2011 म ,:—
(क) िनयम 2.1.2, के उप-िनयम 1 म , अहत1 ा के संबंध म,, खंड (iii) के उप-खंड (ख) म , श3द “एक वष”1 के 5थान पर “पाचँ वष”1
श3द रखे जाएंगे ;
(ख) िनयम 2.1.3, के उप-िनयम 3 म , अहत1 ा के संबंध म,, परंतुक म , श3द “दो वष1” के 5थान पर “पाचँ वष1” श3द रख े
जाएंग े।

New Delhi, the 18th July, 2014
G.S.R. 508(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 91 of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34
of 2006), the Central Government hereby makes the following Rules amending the Food Safety and Standards Rules,
2011:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Amendment) Rules, 2014.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011,—
(a) in rule 2.1.2, in sub-rule 1 relating to Qualification, in clause (iii), in sub- clause (b), for the words “one year”, the
words “five years” shall be substituted;
(b) in rule 2.1.3, in sub-rule 3 relating to Qualification, in the proviso, for the words “two years”, the words “five years”
shall be substituted.
