ORDER
New Delhi, the 29th January, 2014
S.O. 287(E).—Whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that an Industrial dispute exists
between the management of AKZO NOBEL INDIA LIMITED (formerly ICI India Ltd.) and their
workmen represented by the Federation of ICI & Associated Companies Employees Union, Kolkata, ICI’s
Associated Companies Employees Union, Mumbai and All India Association of Pensioners of ICI India
Ltd., & its subsidiaries, Kolkata.
And Whereas the said industrial dispute is of such a nature that, the establishments of Akzo Nobel India
Limited situated in more than one State, are likely to be interested in, or affected by such industrial dispute.
And Whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that the said dispute should be adjudicated
by a National Industrial Tribunal.
And Whereas the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7B of the ID
Act,1947 (14 of 1947) constituted a National Industrial Tribunal vide Ministry of Labour Order No. L-
51014/2/2007-IR(PG) dated 17.5.2013 with headquarter at Kolkata and appointed Justice Shri G.S.Sarraf as
its Presiding Officer and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1A) of section 10 of the said
Act, referred the said Industrial Dispute to the said National Industrial Tribunal for adjudication.
And Whereas Justice G.S.Sarraf relinquished charge of the above National Industrial Tribunal on
30.6.2013(FN).
Now, therefore, a National Industrial Tribunal is constituted with headquarters at Kolkata with
Justice Shri Dipak Saha Ray, Presiding Officer of CGIT, Kolkata as its Presiding Officer and the above
said dispute is referred to the above said National Industrial Tribunal for adjudication with a direction that
Justice Dipak Saha Ray shall proceed in the matter from the stage at which it was left by Justice Shri
G.S.Sarraf and dispose off the same accordingly.
