(cid:315)(cid:175)ೇಷ (cid:170)ಾಜ(cid:205) ಪ(cid:294)(cid:206)(cid:144)ೆ ¨sÁU À – 4ಎ , 04 , 2024( , 14, , 1945) . 145 Part – IVA BENGALURU, MONDAY, 04, MARCH, 2024(PHALGUNA , 14, SHAKAVARSHA, 1945) No. 145 GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA No:LAW-LCE/229/2023 (P-1) Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vidhana Soudha, Benagaluru, Dated:04.03.2024 GUIDELINES In respect of the implementation of the Code of Civil Procedure (Karnataka Amendment) Act, 2023 (Karnataka Act No.08 of 2024), the Government of Karnataka is hereby notified by Government of Karnataka as under, namely:- (a) "Small farmer" means a person who on the date of commencement of this Act, holds whether as an owner, or mortgagee with possession or partly in one capacity and partly in another not more than two units of land, the annual income from which does not exceed three lakh rupees and who has no income from any source other than agriculture. Explanation-1: “Unit” means,- i. two hectares of un-irrigated land; or ii. one and one-fourth hectares of rain-fed wet land; or iii. half hectare of land having facilities for growing one irrigated crop or for growing plantation crops or grapes or coconut or areca nut or sugarcane or used for growing mulberry by irrigation; or iv. quarter hectare of land having perennial irrigation facilities or facilities for growing more than one irrigated crop in a year.
