ACQUISITION OF LANDS NOTICE UNDER SUB-SECTION (1) OF SECTION 15 OF THE TAMIL NADU HIGHWAYS ACT, 2001 (TAMIL NADU ACT 34 OF 2002) (LA-VI(3)/10308071/2025) No. VI(1)/395(b-1)/2025. The Government of Tamil Nadu having been satisfied that the lands specified in the schedule below to be acquired for the Highways Department to wit for the Formation of Road from Kamarajar Bridge to Varanasi-Kaniyakumari Road (NH-44) on the North Bank of Vaigai River(Near Samayanallur)at Km 0/0 to Km 8/0 Madurai Corporation and North Taluk in Madurai District and it having already been decided that the amount of compensation to be awarded for the land is to be paid out of the funds controlled and managed by Highways Department .The following notice is issued under sub section 1 of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act No. 34 of 2002). NOTICE Under sub-section 1 of section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002), the Governor of Tamil Nadu is hereby acquires the lands specified in the schedule below and measuring an extent of 54420 Square Meters to the same, a little more or less needed for Highways purpose, to wit for the Formation of Road from Kamarajar Bridge to Varanasi-Kaniyakumari Road(NH-44) on the North Bank of Vaigai River (Near Samayanallur) at Km 0/0 to Km 8/0 Madurai Corporation and North Taluk in Madurai District The plan of the lands is kept in the Office of the Special District Revenue Officer (LA), Highways, and the Office of the Special Tahsildar (LA), Highways Unit-2 Collectorate campus New Building, Madurai – 20 may be inspected on any day during office hours.
