NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rules to amend the Karnataka Municipal Corporations (Election) Rules 1979, Rules 2007, Rules 2013 and Rules 2014 which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 421 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act 1976(Karnataka Act 14 of 1977 and Karnataka Act 32 of 2012) is hereby published as required under sub-section (1) of section 421 of the said Act for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after 7 days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette. Any objections or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. The objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Urban Development Department, Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vikasa Soudha, 4th Floor, Room No. 435, Bengaluru-560001. DRAFT RULES 1. Title and Commencement:(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Municipalities Corporations(Election) (Amendment) Rules 2020. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Rule 73A.- in the Karnataka Municipalities Corporations (Election) Rules, 1979 and Rules 2007, Rules 2013 and Rules 2014, in rule 73A, in sub rule (1) for the Table, the following shall be substituted.
