2. बीड़ी कामगार क(cid:6)याण िनिध िनयम, 1978 म%;
(i) िनयम 41 म%, उप-िनयम (1) के बाद िन.िलिखत उप-िनयम अंत:)थािपत (cid:4)कया जाएगा, नामत:—
“(1ए) उप—िनयम (1) म% उि(cid:6)लिखत (cid:4)कसी बात होते #ए भी, क(cid:6)याण आयु या इस िनिम(cid:30) क(cid:6)याण आयु (cid:28)ारा
(cid:29)ािधकृत कोई अ(cid:16)य अिधकारी तXय! क(cid:27) सटीकता से )वयं को संतुM करने के िलए अपने िववेक के अनुसार यथोिचत जाचं
करने के बाद ऐसे कम;चारी को पहचान-प@ जारी कर सकता ह”ै ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th September, 2018
G.S.R. 1002(E).—The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Beedi Workers Welfare Fund Rules,
1978, which the Central Government proposes to make, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Beedi
Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1976 (62 of 1976), is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of the said section, for
the information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be
taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of the Official
Gazette in which this notification is published are made available to the public.
Objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Joint Secretary to the Government of India and
Director General (Labour Welfare), Jaisalmer House, 26, Man Singh Road, New Delhi-110011;
The objections and suggestions, which may be received from any person with respect to said draft rules before
the expiry of the period specified above, will be considered by the Central Government.
DRAFT RULES
1. (1) These rules may be called the Beedi Workers Welfare Fund (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Beedi Workers Welfare Fund Rules,1978 ;
(i) in rule 41, after sub-rule (1) the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-
“(1A) Notwithstanding anything contained in the sub-rule (1), the Welfare Commissioner or any other
officer authorized by the Welfare Commissioner in this behalf may issue identity card to such employee
after making such investigation as he thinks fit to satisfy himself about the correctness of the facts”.
(ii) in Schedule V, in From E, after the words “Signature of employer of factory/establishment/ contractor”,
the words “or Welfare Commissioner or any officer authorized by the Welfare Commissioner” shall be
inserted.
