1. सजं क्षि नाम और प्रारंभ:- (1) इन जनयमों का संजक्षि नाम कीटनािी संिोधन (सातवां संिोधन) जनयम, 2023 ह।ै
(2) यह रािपत्र म ेंइनके अंजतम प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे।
2. कीटनािक जनयम, 1971 (इसके पश् चात उि जनयम के रूप म ें संिर्भित) म ें जनयम 19 के उप-जनयम (3) के “स्ट्पष्टीकरण”
पैरा के खडं (i) को जनम्नजलजखत िब्िों के साथ प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत ककया िाएगा:
“(i) कोई भी पंिीकरण प्रमाणपत्र धारक ककसी ऐसे लेवल या पची, िो कीटनािी (िसू रा संसोधन) जनयम, 2023
के उपबंधों के अनुसार न हो, का उपयोग, कीटनािी (िसू रा संसोधन) जनयम, 2023 के प्रवृत्त होने की तारीख स े
नौ माह के पश्चात नहीं करेगा ।”

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th September, 2023
G.S.R. 671(E) .—The following draft rules further to amend the Insecticides Rules, 1971, which the Central
Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Insecticides Act, 1968
(46 of 1968), is hereby published, as required by the said section, for information of all persons likely to be affected
thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of fifteen
days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of India are made available to
the public;
The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft rules before
the expiry of the aforesaid period of fifteen days will be considered by the Central Government;
Objections and suggestions in respect to the said draft rules may be forwarded to the Joint Secretary (Plant
Protection), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Krishi
Bhawan, New Delhi-110001 or through email at jspp-dac@gov.in.
DRAFT RULES
1. Short Title and Commencement - (1) These rule may be called the Insecticides (Seventh Amendment)
Rules, 2023.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Insecticides Rules, 1971 (hereinafter referred as the said rules), clause (i) of “Explanation” para of sub-rule
(3) of rule 19 shall be substituted with the words:
“(i) no registration certificate holder shall use a label or leaflet, which is not in accordance with the
provisions of the Insecticides (Second Amendment) Rules, 2023, after a period of nine months from the date
of commencement of the Insecticides (Second Amendment) Rules, 2023.”
