Draft Rules 1. (1) These rules may be called the Insecticides (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Insecticides Rules, 1971 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 10, in clause (iii) of sub-rule (3A): (a) In sub-clause (iii), after the first proviso, following proviso shall be inserted: Provided that any person who applies for grant of license for the pest control operations using only Glyphosate and its derivatives must have passed 12th Standard/Higher Secondary Certificate examination or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with a training programme meant exclusively for Glyphosate usage from one of the institutes as prescribed.
