Wheereas, it iis decidedd that it iis necessaary to takke up thee recruitmment wwith traansparenccy througgh the Kaarnataka Public Seervice Commmissionn as defined uunder claause (b) oof rule 2 of the Kaarnataka Civil Serrvices (Direct Recruitmment by CCompetitivve Examinnations aand Selecction) Rulles, 20066 for recruitmeent of Grooup-B posts of Asssistant Enngineers and Grouup-C postts of JJunior Enngineers. Wheereas, viide Notiffication NNo. PWDD 166 SSeSaki 22018, daated: 31.10.2019 the KKarnatakka Publicc Works Departmment Servvice (Speecial Recruitmment of Asssistant EEngineers Grade-1 and Junnior Enginneers) Ruules, 2019 in NNotificatioon No. PWWD 166 SSeSaki 20018, dated: 6th Maarch, 2019 is now deciided to aannul andd handedd over thhe recruittment proocess of 600 12 Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and 325 Junior Engineers through the Karnataka Public Service Commission. Now, therefore the draft of Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineer Grade-1 and Junior Engineer) (Repeal) Rules, 2020 which the Government of Karnataka, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) was published in Notification No. PWD 166 SeSaki 2018 (P), dated: 10.02.2020 in part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette (Extraordinary) No. 45, dated 11th February 2020. Inviting objections and suggestions from persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette. Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 11.02.2020. AND, WHEREAS the objections and suggestions received in this behalf have been considered by the State Government. NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990)the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules. Namely;- RULES 1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) (Repeal) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 31st October 2019. 2. Repeal of the Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) Rules, 2019.- The Karnataka Public Works Department Service (Special Recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade-1 and Junior Engineers) Rules, 2019 is hereby repealed and deemed to have been repealed with effect from 31st October 2019.
