ITEM NO. 402/2017.—The part of the election meeting requested Hon’ble Mr. Bhoj Chander Thakur to preside and accordingly the meeting was presided over by Mr. B.C. Thakur, Member, Bar Council of India. The election of office bearers and members of Executive Committee as well as of Board of Trustees was held in the light of the resolution dated 28.10.2017. The members of Bar Council of India elected the following office bearers of Bar Council of India and members of Executive Committee and Bar Council of India Trust in the meeting of General Council held today on 22.12.2017. Election for the post of Chairman, Bar Council of India Resolution No. 268 /2017 The name of Mr. Manan Kumar Mishra was proposed by Hon’ble Member Mr. Debi Prasad Dhal and the same was seconded by Hon’ble Member Mr. Dinesh Pathak, none of the other Members showed any interest in contesting for the post of the Chairman of the Bar Council of India. As such, Mr. Manan Kumar Mishra was unanimously declared elected as the Chairman of the Bar Council of India. Resolution No. 269/2017 RESOLVED that Mr. Manan Kumar Mishra is unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Bar Council of India till 16th April, 2020. Election for the post of Vice-Chairman, Bar Council of India Resolution No. 270/2017 The name of Mr. Satish A. Deshmukh was proposed by Hon’ble Member Mr. Pratap Mehta and the same was seconded by Hon’ble Member Mr. Sahilendra Dubey, none of the other Members showed any interest in contesting for the post of the Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of India. As such, Mr. Satish A. Deshmukh was unanimously declared elected as the Vice- Chairman of the Bar Council of India. Resolution No. 271 /2017 RESOLVED that Mr. Satish A.
