The President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Govt. of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, These rules may be called the Govt. of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and Ninth Amendment Rules, 2014.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th December, 2014
S.O. 3106(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President
hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961,
namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and
Ninth Amendment Rules, 2014.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961,-
(1) In THE FIRST SCHEDULE, under the heading “34. Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
(Samajik Nyaya aur Adhikarita Mantralaya)”, for the sub-heading “(ii) Department of Disability
Affairs (Nishaktata Karya Vibhag)”, the sub-heading, “(ii) Department of Empowerment of Persons
with Disabilities (Viklangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag)” shall be substituted.
(2) in THE SECOND SCHEDULE, under the heading “MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND
EMPOWERMENT (SAMAJIK NYAYA AUR ADHIKARITA MANTRALAYA)’’,-
(i) under the sub-heading “A. DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT
(SAMAJIK NYAYA AUR ADHIKARITA VIBHAG)”, after entry 4, the following entry
shall be inserted, namely:-
“4A. Employment of Manual Scavengers and Construction of Dry Latrines (Prohibition)
Act, 1993 (46 of 1993)”.;
(ii) for the sub-heading “B. DEPARTMENT OF DISABILITY AFFAIRS (NISHAKTATA
KARYA VIBHAG)”, the following sub-heading shall be substituted, namely:-
“B. DEPARTMENT OF EMPOWERMENT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
(VIKLANGJAN SASHAKTIKARAN VIBHAG)”;
(iii) under the sub-heading “B. DEPARTMENT OF EMPOWERMENT OF PERSONS WITH
DISABILITIES (VIKLANGJAN SASHAKTIKARAN VIBHAG)”, as so substituted, in entry
4, in the ‘Note’, for the words “Department of Disability Affairs”, the words “Department of
Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities”, shall be substituted.
