New Delhi, the 18th March, 2014
No.MCI-34(41)/2013-Med./64020.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 33 of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Medical Council of India with the previous sanction of the Central Government
hereby makes the following Regulations to futher amend the ''Establishment of Medical College Regulations, 1999'',
namely :—
1225 GI/2014 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC. 4]
1. (i) These Regulations may be called the ''Establishment of Medical College Regulations, 2013 (Amendment)''
(ii) ''They shall come into force from the date of authentication by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, i.e.
w.e.f. 21.10.2013.”
2. In the ''Establishment of Medical College Regulations, 1999'', the following additions/modifications/deletions/
substitutions, shall be as indicated therein:—
3. In 3. FORM AND PROCEDURE clause part II (8) Building Programme (g) the heading '' Animal House'' will be
substituted as under :
“For teaching Physiology and Pharmacology in UG curriculum, the required knowledge and skills should be
imparted by using Computer Assisted modules. Only an animal hold area, as per CPCSEA Guidelines is required.”
