New Delhi, the 18th March, 2014
No. MCI-34(41)/2013-Med./64022.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 33 of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Medical Council of India with the previous sanction of the Central Government
hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the “Minimum Standard Requirements for 50/100/150/200/250
MBBS Admissions Annually Regulations, 1999”, namely:—
1. (i) These Regulations may be called the “Minimum Standard Requirements for 50/100/150/200/250 MBBS
Admissions Annually Regulations (Amendment), 2013”.
(ii) “They shall come into force from the date of authentication by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, i.e.,
w.e.f. 21.10.2013”.
2. In the “Minimum Standard Requirements for 50/100/150/200/250 MBBS Admissions Annually Regulations,
1999”, the following additions/modifications/deletions/ substitutions, shall be as indicated therein:—
In Clause A.1.9 the heading “Animal House” will be substituted as under:—
“For teaching Physiology and Pharmacology in UG curriculum, the required knowledge and skills should be
imparted by using Computer Assisted modules. Only an animal hold area, as per CPCSEA Guidelines, is
required.”

amended vide corrigendum dated 24th June, 1999 and further amended vide notification dated 20.10.2008,
