G.S.R. 783(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and
Cooperation, Draughtsman Grade-I and Draughtsman Grade-III.
1. (i) These rules may be called Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Draughtsman
Grade-I and Draughtsman Grade-III, Recruitment Rules, 2014.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. (i) In the Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, (Draughtsman Grade-I and Draughtsman Grade-III)
Recruitment Rules, 2014 in the Schedule, under Column. 6 (सीधे भत(cid:3) के िलए आयु–सीमा) of Hindi version in the¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
second line of note 2, the sentence “आयु-सीमा अवधा(cid:8)रत करने के िलए िनणा(cid:13)यक भारत म(cid:17) ........” shall be substituted as
“आयुसीमा अवधा(cid:8)रत करने के िलए िनणा(cid:13)यक ततततााााररररीीीीखखखख भारत म…(cid:17) .”
(ii) Under Column. 11 of the RR of Draughtsman Grade-I ((cid:18)ोनि(cid:20) अथवा (cid:18)ितनुि(cid:24) अथवा आमेलन (cid:28)ारा भत(cid:3) .......)

(iii) Under Column. 7 of the RR of Draughtsman Grade-I (educational and other qualification required for direct
recruit) of English and Hindi version in the first para, the sentence “Four years’ Degree in Civil Engineering or
Agricultural Engineering from a recognized Institute.” shall be substituted as “Four years’ Degree in Civil
Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.” Under para 2 “……. in
any Central Government or State Government Department or Autonomous Body or recognized research Institution.”
Shall be substituted as “……. in any Central Government or State Government Department or Autonomous Body or
in any recognized research Institution.” Under note 2 of the same column in the last line “Vacancies” shall be
substituted with the word “Posts.”
(iii) Under Column. 9 of the RR of Draughtsman Grade-I (Period of probation, if any) of English version the
sentence “Two years” shall be substituted as “Two years for Direct recruits and promotees.”
(iv) Under Column. 11 of the RR of Draughtsman Grade-I (In case of recruitment by promotion/ deputation……) of
English version in Note 1, third line “…….their seniors should also be considered provided they are……...” shall be
substituted as “…….their seniors would also be considered provided they are……...” Under same column
(Deputation: Officers of the Central Government) at (a) (ii) “With ten years regular service in the grade in pay
band I: Rs. 5200-20200 with grade pay Rs. 2400” Shall be substituted as “With ten years regular service in the
grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in pay band I: Rs. 5200-20200 with grade pay
Rs. 2400.”
(v) Under Column. 7 of the RR of Draughtsman Grade-III the sentence “Direct Recruitment” Shall be substituted
as “hundred percent by direct recruitment” also a Note should be added as “Vacancies caused by the
incumbent being away on deputation or long illness or study leave or under other circumstances for a
duration of the year or more may be filled on deputation basis from officers of Central Government. (a)
Holding analogous posts on regular basis; and (b) Possessing the qualification and experience prescribed for
direct recruits under Column 7.”
