G.S.R. 458(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (g) of sub-section (2) of Section 63 of
the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, further to
amend the Competition Commission of India (salary, allowances, other terms and conditions of service of the
Secretary and officers and other employees of the Commission and the number of such officers and other
employees) Rules, 2009, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Competition Commission of India (salary, allowances, other
terms and conditions of service of the Secretary and officers and other employees of the Commission and the
number of such officers and other employees) Amendment Rules, 2015.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In Schedule I to the Competition Commission of India (salary, allowances, other terms and
conditions of service of the Secretary and officers and other employees of the Commission and the number of
such officers and other employees) Rules, 2009,-
(a) at serial number 15, against the post of Joint Director (IT), under column 12, for the entries in
item (ii), under the sub-heading “By deputation”, the following entries shall be substituted
namely:—¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
“(II) By Deputation:
Essential: An Information Technology professional working in the National Informatics Centre
or any other Government Organisation with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or
Computer Applications or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer
Applications or equivalent with five years experience in the grade pay of Rs. 7600 or ten years
in the grade pay of Rs. 6600 or equivalent.”;
(b) at serial number 16, against the post of Deputy Director (Corporate Services), under column 12,
in item (i), under the sub-heading “By promotion” the entries ‘Information Technology and
Finance and Accounts’ shall be omitted.;
(c) in serial number 18, against the post of Deputy Director (Information Technology), under
column 12, for the entires in item (ii), under the sub-heading “By deputation”, the following
entires shall be substituted, namely:—

Essential : An information Technology professional working in the National Informatics Centre
or any other Government Organisation with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or
Computer Applications or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer

(d) at serial number 20, against the post of Assistant Director (Information Technology), under
column 12, for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:—

Information Technology Professional working in analogous post or grade or five years
experience in the grade pay of Rs. 5400 or six years experience in the grade pay of Rs. 4800 or
seven years experience in the grade pay of Rs. 4600 or ten years experience in the grade pay of
Rs. 4200 or equivalent and possessing the qualification of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Science or Computer Applications or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or
