NOTIFICATION Whereas the notification of declaring the ‘Grama Panchayat Area’ of Tikota including Tikota village and Rampura village area as Transitional area of Tikota, Vijayapura District mentioned in the Schedule “A” along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” is hereby declared as the “Transitional Area” of Tikota and further such area is specified as “Town Panchayat Area” of Tikota was published as required by Section 9, 349 and 355(B) of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, vide ‘Government notification no:UDD 05 MLR 2018, dated:31.12.2019’ by providing thirty days time and was published in part- III, No.1086 Karnataka Gazette Extraordinary, dated:31.12.2019 inviting objections from all persons likely to be affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date of publication of the above notification. And whereas the notification was made available to the public on the day of publication; And whereas no objections/suggestions were received within the stipulated time ; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9, 349 and 355(B) of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby notify the ‘Grama Panchayat Area’ of Tikota including Tikota village and Rampura village area as Transitional area of Tikota, Vijayapura District mentioned in Schedule-A along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B as the “Transitional Area” of Tikota, and further specifying such area to be the “Town Panchayat Area” area of Tikota of Vijayapura District, having regard to- i. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than Twenty thousand; 13,331 ii. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; 2423.8 iii.
