NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th June, 2014
S.O. 1632(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Destructive
Insects and Pests Act, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to
amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, namely:—
1. Short title and Commencement.- (1) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of
Import into India) (Second Amendment) Order, 2014.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In Clause 4 of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, for Sub-clause (i) the
following entries shall be substituted, namely:
“(i) The consignment of soil, earth, sand and similar material may be permitted under the special
conditions, additional declarations and for the purposes listed in the Schedule VI of this order.”
3. In Schedule VI of the said order for serial number 394, the following serial number and entries shall be
substituted, namely:—
