And Whereas, proposal was received from Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, dated: 27.07.2023 for permitting utilization of Development Rights Certificate issued by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike anywhere in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike limits. And Whereas, the State Government intends to streamline the utilization of the Development Rights Certificates (DRCs) issued within the Greater Bengaluru Area (GBA) or Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike limits whose jurisdiction lies within the Local Planning Area of Bengaluru (BDA) and Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure Corridor Area Planning Authority (BMICAPA). No. RNP/KA/BGS/2202/2017-19 Licensed to post without prepayment WPP No. 297 2 Now therefore, in exercise of powers conferred under sub-section (13) of section 14-B of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1961 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the State Government hereby notifies that Development Rights Certificates (DRC) issued within the limits of Greater Bengaluru Area or Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike may be permitted to be utilized anywhere within the jurisdiction of Greater Bengaluru Area or Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, as per the prevalent law, irrespective of the Local Planning Area limits (the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure Corridor Area Planning Authority (BMICAPA)) in which the Development Rights Certificates have originated. The records of the Development Rights so permitted for utilization shall be maintained by the Bangalore Development Authority irrespective of the local planning area limits in which the Development Rights Certificates (DRC) or Transferable Development Right (TDR) is permitted to be utilized.
