इसमें इसके पश्चात् उि अजधजनयम कहा गया है) की धारा 5 ए के अधीन उि ठरि पद को भरने के जलए श्री अिोक
भूषण, न्यायाधीि, उच्चतम न्यायालय को नामजनर्ददष्ट दकया है;
और, रािी और ब्यास िल अजधकरण म ें न्यायाधीि पी.सी. बालकृष्ण मेनन के त्यागपत्र के पठरणामस्ट्िरूप एक
पद ठरि हुआ ह;ै
और भारत के मुखय न्यायाधीि ने उि अजधजनयम, की धारा 5 ए के अधीन उि ठरि पद को भरने के जलए
श्री सुमन श्याम, न्यायाधीि, गिु ाहाटी, उच्च न्यायालय को नामजनर्ददष्ट दकया ह;ै
अत: अब, केंद्रीय सरकार उि अजधजनयम की धारा 14 द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करत े हुए,उि अजधसूचना
में जनम्नजलजखत और संिोधन करती ह,ै अथाता ्:

S. O. 2444(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal, constituted by the
Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Water Resources vide notification number S.O. 169(E), dated the
2nd April, 1986 (hereafter referred to as the said notification), consequent due to the death of Justice V. Balakrishna
Eradi;
And whereas, the Chief Justice of India has nominated Mr. Justice Ashok Bhushan, Judge, Supreme Court to
fill the said vacancy under Section 5A of the Inter-State River Water Disputes Act, 1956 (33 of 1956) (hereafter
referred to as the said Act);
And whereas, a vacancy in the Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal has occurred consequent on the resignation of
Justice P.C. Balakrishna Menon;
And whereas, the Chief Justice of India has nominated Mr. Justice Suman Shyam, Judge, Guwahati, High
Court to fill the said vacancy under section 5A of the said Act;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the said Act, the Central Government
hereby makes the following amendments further to amend the said notification, namely:-
In the said notification, for item (1) and item (3) and the entries relating thereto, the following items shall be
substituted, namely:-
“(1) Shri Justice Ashok Bhushan, - Chairman
Judge of the Supreme Court
(3) Shri Justice Suman Shyam
Judge of Guwahati High Court - Member”.
