NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th March, 2018
S.O. 1397(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Central Government of India, in the Ministry of
Culture (Archaeological Survey of India) number S.O. 1659 (E) dated the 17th May, 2017, published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, sub-section (ii), dated 23rd May, 2017 the Central
Government gave two months’ notice of its intention to declare the ancient monument specified in the
schedule annexed to the notification to be of National importance and a copy of the said notification was
affixed at a conspicuous place near the said ancient monument as required by Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of
the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958);
AND WHEREAS, copies of the said Gazette notification were made available to the public on 13th
July, 2017;
AND WHEREAS, no objection has been received from the public to making of such declaration by
the Central Government;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Ancient
Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958), the Central Government hereby
declares the said ancient monument specified in the Site Plan and the Schedule annexed hereto, to be of
national importance.
