And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that it is expedient to investigate and determine the causes and contributory factors leading to the said serious incident and make recommendations to avoid recurrence of such serious incidents in future. Now, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the Rule 11(1) of the Aircraft (Investigation of Accidents and Incidents) Rules, 2012, the Central Government hereby directs that a formal inquiry in the serious incident be made. Accordingly, the Central Government hereby appoints a Committee of Inquiry headed by Dr. Jitender Loura, Assistant Director, AAIB with following member: (i) Sh. Dinesh Kumar, Air Safety Officer, AAIB as member The committee will also take the assistance of other experts/agencies whenever required. The headquarters of the Committee will be at New Delhi.
