NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st April, 2020
S.O. 1888(E).—Whereas on 10th October, 2019, the Medical Advisory Council of the National Medical
Commission was constituted in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 11 of the National Medical
Commission Act, 2019.
And whereas the Central Government, in pursuance of the clause (d) of Sub-section (2) of Section 11 of
the National Medical Act, 2019 and on the recommendations of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India,
appointed Dr. Sanajy Verma, Medical and Health Department, Daman & Diu and Dr. V. K. Das, Director,
Medical & Health Department, Damn & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli as representatives of UT of Daman &
Diu and UT of Dadar & Nagar Haveli respectively in Medical Advisory Council.
And whereas, with the Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu (Merger of Union Territories)
Act, 2019 coming into force, a new union territory known as the Union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and
Daman & Diu comprising the territory of the two Union Territories has been formed. Therefore, representatives
of the two Union Territories have ceased to be members of the Medical Advisory Council representing their
concerned Union Territories.
And whereas, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in pursuance of the clause (d) of
sub-section (2) of section 11 of the National Medical Act, 2019 has nominated Dr. V. K. Das, Director, Medical
Health Department, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu as the representative of the Union Territory in the
Medical Advisory Council of National Medical Commission.
Now, therefore, in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare number S.O. 3659(E) dated 10th October, 2019 published in Gazette of India, Extra-ordinary, Part-II,
Section 3, the following amendments are hereby made:-[भाग II—खण् ड 3(ii)] भारत का रािपराल : असाधारण 3
(i) Under paragraph (4), in the Table, the serial number 3 and the entries relating thereto, shall be
substituted as under:-
