No. NHAI/PIU-RMNG/NH-275/BNG-MYS/TOLL/2023.—Whereas, the Bangaluru-Mysuru Highway (NH-275) is being developed as on Six-Lane fully access controlled Highway, starting from Km.18.000 near Panchamukhi Temple, Kengeri, Bengaluru South District, Bengaluru connecting Ramanagara & Mandya District in the state of Karnataka and terminating at Km.135.304 near Manipal Hospital Junction, Mysuru, Mysuru District in the State of Karnataka; And whereas there have been and are alternative routes and roads available to the public for linking the above places/accessing various destination points before the development of this Access Controlled Highway; And whereas this Access Controlled Highway has been developed as a high-speed corridor and the maximum speed limits for Motor Vehicles of various descriptions for the Access Controlled Highway have been notified varying between 80 km/hour to 100 km/hour vide Notification bearing No. S.O. 402(E) dated 25th January, 2023 & No. S.O. 2580(E) dated 13th June, 2023; And whereas the movement of high speed vehicles may pose risk to the safety of certain classes of comparatively slow moving vehicles e.g. two wheelers, three wheelers and other slow moving vehicles like non- motorized vehicles, agricultural tractors (with or without trailers) due to their vulnerability and associated speed differentials and compromise the road safety aspects; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 35 of "The Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002", it is hereby ordered that the following classes of vehicles are prohibited from using the Bangalore-Mysuru Access Controlled Highway (NH-275); (i) Motor Cycles (including scooters and other-wheelers); (ii) Three wheelers (including e-Carts and e-Rickshaws); (iii) Non- motorized vehicles; (iv) Tractors Special with or without trailers (v) Multi Axle Hydraulic Trailer Vehicles (vi) Quadri-cycles; SANTOSH KUMAR YADAV, Chairman and Highway Administrator [ADVT.-III/4/Exty./281/2023-24] Uploaded by Dte. of Printing at Government of India Press, Ring Road, Mayapuri, New Delhi-110064 and Published by the Controller of Publications, Delhi-110054.
