NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th July, 2019
S.O. 2621(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest requires that the services of
the industries engaged in Manufacturing of Alumina and Aluminium and Mining of Bauxite, which are covered under
3768 GI/2019 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]
item 30 and 31, respectively, of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be public utility
services for the purposes of the said Act;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial
Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares the services of the said industries engaged in
Manufacturing of Alumina and Aluminium and Mining of Bauxite to be public utility services for the purposes of the said
Act for a period of six months with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
