रक्षा स्ट्थापनों में उद्योग म ें लगी ऐसी सेवाएं, िो औद्योजगक जववाि अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की पहली अनुसूची
की मि 8 के अधीन आती ह,ैं उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोिनों के जलए लोक उपयोगी सेवा होगी;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने अंत म ें यह घोजित दकया ह ै दक उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोिनों के जलए उक्त उद्योग ऐसी
लोक उपयोगी सेवा होगी, जिसे भारत सरकार के श्रम और रोिगार मंत्रालय की अजधसूचना संखयांक का.आ. 4526(अ),
तारीख 18 दिसंबर , 2019 द्वारा 22 दिसंबर, 2019 से छह मास की अवजध के जलए अजधसूजचत दकया गया था;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार की यह राय ह ैदक लोकजहत में उक्त उद्योग के लोक उपयोगी सेवा की प्राजस्ट्थजत की अवजध का
छह मास की अजतररक्त अवजध के जलए बढाया िाना अपेजक्षत ह;ै
अतः, अब, केन्द्रीय सरकार औद्योजगक जववाि अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की धारा 2 के खंड (ढ) के
उपखंड (vi) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, रक्षा स्ट्थापनों के उद्योग म ेंलगी सेवाओं को इस अजधसूचना
के प्रकािन की तारीख से छह मास की अवजध के जलए उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोिनों के जलए लोक उपयोगी सेवा के रूप म ें
घोजित करती ह ै।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th June, 2020
S.O. 2024(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest so requires that the
services engaged in the industry of defence establishments, which is covered under item 8 of the First Schedule to the
Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act;
And whereas the Central Government has lastly declared the said industry to be public utility service for the
purposes of the said Act for a period of six months from the 22nd December, 2019 vide notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment number S.O. 4526 (E), dated 18th December, 2019;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the
public utility service status to the said industry for a further period of six months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section
2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares the services engaged in
the industry of defence establishments to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six
months with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
