का.आ. 742(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार का समाधान हो जाने पर दक लोकजहत में ऐसा करना अपेजित था दक
औद्योजगक जववाद अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 14) के प्रथम अनुसूची के मद 6 के अधीन आच्छ ाददत ऐसे उद्योग
की सेवाएं, जो खाद्य पदाथ थमें लग ेहुए ह,ैं उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोजन के जलए लोक उपयोगी सेवा होगी ;
और, केन्द्द्रीय सरकार न े भारत सरकार के श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय की अजधसचू ना संखयांक
का.आ. 2439(अ), तारीख 9 जुलाई, 2019 द्वारा अंजतम रूप से, तारीख 9 जुलाई, 2019 से छह मास तक की
अवजध के जलए उक्त उद्योग को उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोजनों के जलए, लोक उपयोगी सेवा घोजित दकया था;
और केंद्रीय सरकार की यह राय ह ै दक और छह महीन े के जलए उक्त उद्योग को लोकोपयोगी सेवा प्राजस्ट्थ जत
का जवस्ट् तार दकया जाना अपेजित ह ै;
अत:, अब, केंद्रीय सरकार औद्योजगक जववाद अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की धारा 2 के खंड (ढ़) के
उपखंड (vi) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत् त िजक्त यों का प्रयोग करते हुए, उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोजनों के जलए खाद्य पदाथों
में लगे हुए उद्योग को अजधसूचना के प्रकािन की तारीख से प्रवृत अगले छह महीने के जलए लोकोपयोगी सेवा के रूप
में घोजित करती ह ै।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th February, 2020
S.O. 742(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest so requires that the
services of the industry engaged in Food Stuffs, which is covered under item 6 of the First Schedule to the
Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purpose of the said Act;
And whereas the Central Government has lastly declared the said industry to be public utility service
for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months from the 9th July, 2019 vide notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment number S.O. 2439(E), dated 9th July, 2019;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the
public utility service status to the said industry for a further period of six months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of
section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares the services
of the industry engaged in Food Stuffs to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a further
period of six months with effect from the date of publication of the notification.
