(1) इन िविनयम) का संि(cid:17)1 नाम खा(cid:14) सुर(cid:17)ा और मानक (पैके(cid:22)जग और लेब(cid:22)लग) (cid:25)थम संशोधन िविनयम, 2018 ह ै । (2) ये राजप! म # इनके (cid:25)काशन क(cid:27) तारीख को (cid:25)व9 ह)ग े तथा खा(cid:14) कारोबार चालक को 1 जुलाई, 2019 से इन िविनयम) के सभी (cid:25)ावधान) का अनपु ालन करना होगा। 2. खा(cid:14) सरु (cid:17)ा और मानक (पकै े(cid:22)जग और लेब(cid:22)लग) िविनयम, 2011 के अ?याय 2 म,# - (1) “ घोषणा क(cid:27) रीित” से संबि@धत िविनयम 2.3 म,# उप-िविनयम 2.3.3 म,# ि तीयक परंतकु के िलए, िन<िलिखत को (cid:25)ितAथािपत (cid:4)कया जाएगा, अथा3त ्:- ‘‘परंत ु यह और (cid:4)क उप-िविनयम 2.4.2 के खंड (5), (6), (7), (8) और (10) और 2.4.4 के अधीन अपेि(cid:17)त लेबल घोषणा (cid:4)क दशा म # उBपाद के उपयोग या तैयारी के िलए अनुदशे िविनCदD करने वाली घोषणा (cid:4)क दशा के िसवाय, अ(cid:17)र) का आकार 3 िम. मी. (एमएम) से कम नह/ होगा।” (2) “िविनCदD अपे(cid:17)ाए/ँ लेबल लगान े क(cid:27) रीित पर िनबFधन” से संबि@धत िविनयम 2.4 म,# उप-िविनयम 2.4.2 म,# खंड 11 के िलए, िन<िलिखत को (cid:25)ितAथािपत (cid:4)कया जाएगा, अथा3त ्:- “11. No. REG/11/27/BEVO-Labelling/FSSAI-2018.—Whereas the draft of the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Amendment Regulations, 2018, were published as required under sub-section (1) of section 92 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), vide notification of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India number F. No. REG/11/27/BEVO-Labelling/FSSAI-2018, dated the 28th May, 2018, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4, inviting objections and suggestions from the persons likely to be affected thereby before the expiry of the period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; And whereas the copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on the 01st June, 2018; And whereas the objections and suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft regulations have been considered by the Food Safety and standards Authority of India; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (k) of sub-section (2) of section 92 read with section 23 of the said Act, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011, namely:- Regulations 1. (1) These regulations may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) First Amendment Regulations, 2018. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette and Food Business Operator shall comply with all the provisions of these regulations by 1st July, 2019. 2. In the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011, in Chapter 2,- (1) in regulation 2.3 relating to “Manner of declaration”, in sub-regulation 2.3.3, for second proviso, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “Provided further that in case of label declarations required under clause (5), (6), (7), (8) and (10) of sub-regulation 2.4.2, and sub-regulation 2.4.4 except in case of declaration specifying instructions for use or preparation of the product, the size of numeral and letters shall not be less than 3mm.”; (2) in regulation 2.4 relating to “Specific Requirements/Restrictions on manner of Labelling”, in sub-regulation 2.4.2, for clause 11, the following shall be substituted, namely:-4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4] “11. Every package containing an admixture of edible oils shall carry the following label declaration immediately below its brand name/trade name on front of pack, namely:- Blended Edible Vegetable Oil (Name and nature* of edible vegetable oil) ……………………..% by weight (Name and nature* of edible vegetable oil)………………………% by weight (*i.e. in raw or refined form) The font size of the label declaration “Blended Edible Vegetable Oil” shall not be less than 5 mm and for label declaration “Name and nature of edible vegetable oil…..% by weight”, font size shall not be less than 3mm: Provided that the font size of the label declaration “Blended Edible Vegetable Oil” shall not be less than 10mm in case the net quantity of the edible oil contained in the packages is 5 litre and above. There shall also be the following declaration in bold capital letters along with the name of product on front/central panel,- NOT TO BE SOLD LOOSE”. PAWAN AGARWAL, Chief Executive Officer [ADVT.
