ಕನಾರ್ರ್ಟಕ ಪೌರಸಭಭೆಗಳ ಕಾಯೆದ್ 1964ರ 3, 4 ಮತುತ್ 9ನೇ ಪಪರ್ಕರಣದ ಮೂೂಲಕ ಪರ್ದತವತ್ವಾದ ಅಧಿಕಾರರವನುನ್
ಚಚಲಾಯಿ(cid:318), ಗಗೌರವಾನಿವ್ತ ರರಾಜಯ್ಪಾಲರು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನವವುಗಳನುನ್ ಗಮಮನಿ(cid:318), ‘ಅನುಸಸೂಚಿ-ಎ’ ಮತುತ್ ‘ಅನುಸೂಚಿ-ಬಿ’

NOTIFICATION
Whereas the notification to extend the boundary of Byadagi Town Municipal Council,
including entire Byadagi village and complete survey numbers of Agasanahalli village to the
existing Town Municipal Council of Byadagi, Haveri District, mentioned in the Schedule “A”
along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” was published as required by section 3, 4
and 9 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act 1964, vide Government Notification No:UDD 32
MLR 2019, dated:11.11.2019 by providing thirty days time and was published in part-III,
No.974 Karnataka Gazette Extraordinary, dated:11.11.2019 inviting objections from all
persons likely to be affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date of publication of
the above notification.
And whereas the notification was made available to the public on the day of publication;
And whereas objections/suggestions were received within the stipulated time, were
examined;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3, 4 and 9 of the
Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby notify to extend the
boundary of Byadagi Town Municipal Council, including entire Byadagi village and complete
survey numbers of Agasanahalli village to the existing Town Municipal Council of Byadagi,
Haveri District, mentioned in the
Schedule “A” along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” and further specifying such area
to be the “Town Municipal Council” area of Byadagi, Haveri District, having regard to-
1. The population of such area is not less than twenty thousand and not more than three
lakhs;
The density of population in such area is not less than one thousand five hundred

inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;
3. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax and non-tax
sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less than rupees nine lakhs per
annum or a sum calculated at the rate of rupees forty five per capita per annum,
whichever is higher;6
4. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per
cent of the total employment;
