Ms. No. 106, Agriculture - Farmers Welfare (AA4(1)), 25th April 2025, சித்திரைை 12, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. SRO B-16/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for Tamil Nadu General Service. (Section 16 of Volume II of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual, 2016) (2) The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the date of issue of order. Amendments In the said Special Rules,- (1) in Part I, under the heading Class L, for the expression “Administrative Officers, Agriculture Department the following expression shall be substituted, namely:- “Deputy Director (Administration) and Administrative Officer in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Plantation Crops and Agricultural Engineering Departments”; (2) in Part II, (a) for the heading “Class L – ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT,” The expression “DEPUTY DIRECTOR (ADMINISTRATION) AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER IN AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE AND PLANTATION CROPS AND AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENTS” shall be substituted; (b) for rule 1, the following rule shall be substituted, namely :- “1. Constitution.- This class shall consist of the following categories, namely:- Category 1 - Deputy Director (Administration) in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Plantation Crops, Agricultural Engineering Departments Category 2 - Administrative Officer in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Plantation crops, Agricultural Marketing and Agriculture Business, Seed Certification and Organic Certification and Agricultural Engineering Departments”; (c) for rule 2, the following rule 2 shall be substituted, namely:- “2. Appointment.- Appointment to the categories mentioned in Column (1) of the Table below shall be made by the methods specified in the corresponding entries in Column (2) thereof:- The Table Category Method of Appointment (1) (2) 1. Deputy Director By Promotion from among the holders of the post under Category – 2 (Administration) 2. Administrative Officer By Recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the post of Superintendent in Agriculture Department and its Sister Departments (Horticulture and Plantation crops, Agricultural Marketing and Agriculture Business, Seed Certification and Organic Certification and Agricultural Engineering Departments).”; (d) after rule 2, the following rule shall be inserted, namely:- “3. Appointing authority: The appointing authority to the categories shall be Government.”;May 28, 2025] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 41 (e) The existing rule 3 shall be renumbered as 4 and the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- “4. Qualifications.- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the category specified in Column (1) of the table below, unless he possesses the qualification specified in the corresponding entries in Column (2) thereof :- The Table Category Qualifications (1) (2) 1. Deputy Director Must have rendered service not less than two years in Category 2. (Administration) 2. Administrative Officer Must have rendered not less than five years service as Superintendent in Agriculture Department and its Sister Departments (Horticulture and Plantation crops, Agricultural Marketing and Agriculture Business, Seed Certification and Organic Certification and Agricultural Engineering Departments)”; (f) after rule 4, the following rule shall be inserted, namely:- “5. Transfers and Postings.- Transfer and posting to the category 2 shall be made by the Director of Agriculture.”; (g) The existing rule 4, shall be renumbered as 6 and the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- “6. Probation.- Every person appointed to the posts under category – 2 shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.” V. Ms. No. 12, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises [EI(1)], 7th May 2025, சித்திரைை 24, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. SRO B-17/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Industries Service (Section 19 in Volume- II of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual, 2016) Amendment In the said Rules, in the Annexure [referred to in rule 4 (b)] in column (3) against the entry 'Assistant Director of Industries and Commerce; Chief Instructor, Technical Training Centre, Guindy; Assistant Superintendent, CETL, Kakkalur; and Principal, Institute of Tool, Engineering Dindigul' in Column (1) and the corresponding entry 'Direct Recruitment' in Column (2) thereof, the expression "Practical experience in a Factory or workshop for a period of not less than one year" shall be omitted.
