(i) इस संजिजध को पांजडच्चेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय (संिोधन) संजिजधयााँ 2023 कहा िाएगा । (ii) ये आजधकाररक रािपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की तारीख से लाग ूहोंगे। 7505 GI/2023 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4] 2. पांजडच्चेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय की संजिजधयााँ, 1985 में, संजिजध 1 के खंड 1 में: (क) अनुसूची (धारा 26(1) दखे ें) के तहत, जिश्वजिद्यालय की संजिजध 1 के खंड 1 को हटा ददया िाएगा और उसके बदले में ये प्रजिजियां डाली िाएंगी, "भारत के उपराष्ट्रपजत पांजडच्चेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय के पदने कुलाजधपजत होंगे।" और जिश्वजिद्यालय की संजिजध के तहत परंतुक 1 के खंड 1 को “हटा ददया िाएगा" प्रो. डी. लाज़र, कुलसजचि (प्रभारी) [जिज्ञापन-III/4/असा./592/2023-24] रटप्पणी: 1) जिश्वजिद्यालय की संजिजधयों के तहत 1(1) को हटा ददया गया ह ै और िब्द "भारत के उपराष्ट्रपजत पांजडच्चेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय के पदने कुलाजधपजत होंग"े िोडा गया ह।ै 2) जिश्वजिद्यालय की संजिजधयों के तहत 1(1) के परंतुक को हटा ददया गया ह।ै 3) पांजडच्चेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय अजधजनयम, 1985 की संजिजधयााँ पीयू अजधजनयम 1985 के साथ उस अजधजनयम से िुडी अनुसूची के रूप म ेंप्रकाजित की गयी थीं और अंजतम बार फा.सं.39-12/2023-सीयू-I ददनांक 13.11.2023 को संिोजधत दकया गया था। PONDICHERRY UNIVERSITY (Pondicherry) NOTIFICATION Puducherry, the 28th November, 2023 PU/LC/Amendments/2023-24/F. No. 39-12/2023-CU-I.— dated 13.11.2023. In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of Section No.26 of the Pondicherry University Act 1985, (No.53 of 1985), the Executive Council with the assent of the Visitor, hereby makes the following amendments to Statute 1 of the Pondicherry University Act 1985. Statute No. Existing Version Approved Amended Version 1(1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the Visitor of The Vice-President of India Pondicherry University from a panel of not less than shall be the ex-officio three persons recommended by the Executive Council Chancellor of the Pondicherry from amongst persons of eminence in the academic or University public life of the country Proviso to 1(1) Provided that if the Visitor does not approve of any of the Deleted persons so recommended, he may call for fresh recommendations from the Executive Council 1. (i) This Statute may be called as the Pondicherry University (Amendment) Statutes 2023. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Statutes of Pondicherry University, 1985, In Clause 1 of Statute 1: (a) Under the Schedule (See Section 26(1), the Statutes of the University clause 1 of Statue 1 shall be deleted and in lieu thereof entries shall be inserted as “the Vice President of India shall be the ex officio Chancellor of the Pondicherry University” & under the Statutes of the University Proviso to clause 1 of Statute 1 shall be DELETED” Prof. D.
