Ms. No. 127, Environment, Climate Change and Forests [FR.2 (i)], 10th July 2025, ஆனி 26, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. SRO B-37/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service (Section 12 of Part Ill-B in Volume Ill of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 2016):- Amendments In the said Special Rules, - (1) in rule 2, in clause (a),- (a) in the second proviso, for the expression "the posts included in Category VI", the expression "the categories included in Class VI except the category of Cavady" shall be substituted; (b) after the second proviso, as so amended, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: - "Provided also that for the, category of Cavady included in Class-VI, preference shall be given to the members of the Scheduled Tribes residing in the district where elephant camp is located."; (2) in rule 5, in the table, under the heading, "CLASS-VI",- (a) against the category "Mahout" in column (1) and the method "Promotion from the post of Cavady" in column (2) thereof, for the entries in column (3), the following entry shall be substituted, namely: - "Must be an approved probationer in the category of Cavady."; (b) against the category "Cavady" in column (1) and the method "Direct Recruitment" in column (2) thereof, for the entries in column (3), the following entries shall be substituted, namely: - "(i) Ability to speak in Tamil; (ii) Must possess traditional knowledge and wisdom in handling and managing elephants and hailing from the families with history of working with elephants; and (iii) Must possess experience in training and handling elephants in the elephant camps owned by the Government of Tamil Nadu for a period of not less than two years.". Ms. No. 303, Health and Family Welfare (AA1), 2nd July 2025, Aani 18, Visuvaavasu, Thiruvalluvar Aandu-2056] No. SRO B-38/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following Rules: 2. The Rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 24th day of December, 2018.Aug. 6, 2025] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 93 Rules. The Provision contained in the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions and Service) Act, 2016 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 2016) and the Special Rules applicable to the holders of the permanent posts in Branch I-Medical of the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Medical Service shall apply to the holders of the temporary post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Equipment and Maintenance), subject to the modifications specified below namely:- 2. Constitution.- The post shall constitute a separate category in a Distinct class of the said service. 3. Appointment.- Appointment to the post shall be made by recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the post of Junior Engineer (Steam Laundry) in the Tamil Nadu Medical Subordinate Service in the Medical Education and Research Department. 4. Appointing Authority.- The appointing authority for the post shall be the Government. 5. Qualification.- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post unless he possesses the following qualifications namely:- (a) A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Diploma in or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning; and (b) Must possess Ten years of service in the post of Junior Engineer (Steam laundry). 6. Probation.- Every person appointed to the post by recruitment by transfer shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. 7. Tests.- Every person appointed, to the post must pass the Account Test for Executive Officers and departmental test in the Tamil Nadu Medical Code within the period of his probation, failing which his increment shall be postponed without cumulative effect, till he passes the said test. 8. Saving.- Nothing contained in these rules shall adversely affect the holders of the post on the date of coming into post of this Rule. P. SENTHILKUMAR, Principal Secretary to Government. Direct Recruitment" in column(1) the following proviso shall be added, namely:- "provided that the candidates who have obtained a degree in B.E., (Civil Engineering), a postgraduate degree in M.E or M.Tech., must have passed Tamil as one of the subjects in S.S.L.C., Level.
