Appointment.- Appointment to the post shall be made by recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the post of Junior Engineer (Steam Laundry) in the Tamil Nadu Medical Subordinate Service in the Medical Education and Research Department. 4. Appointing Authority.- The appointing authority for the post shall be the Government. 5. Qualification.- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post unless he possesses the following qualifications namely:- (a) A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Diploma in or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning; and (b) Must possess Ten years of service in the post of Junior Engineer (Steam laundry). 6. Probation.- Every person appointed to the post by recruitment by transfer shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. 7. Tests.- Every person appointed, to the post must pass the Account Test for Executive Officers and departmental test in the Tamil Nadu Medical Code within the period of his probation, failing which his increment shall be postponed without cumulative effect, till he passes the said test. 8.
