Ms. No. 104, Health and Family Welfare (L1), 28th March 2023, Panguni 14, Subakirudhu, Thiruvalluvar Aandu-2054.] No. SRO B-11/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Rules Published with the erstwhile Health, Indian Medicine and Homeopathy and Family Welfare Department Notification No. SRO B-301/89, published at pages 208-209 of Part III—Section 1(b) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 6th September, 1989, as subsequently amended. 2. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on 13th April, 2017. Amendment In the said Rules, in rule 5, in sub-rule (b) in the Table, for the entries in item (iii) under column (2), against the entry "By Direct Recruitment" in column (1) and for the entries in item (iv) under column (2) against the entry "By recruitment by transfer from Tamil Nadu Basic Service under the control of the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine" in column (1), the following entries shall respectively be, substituted, namely:- "Must possess two years Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) / Health Inspector/Sanitary Inspector Course Certificate granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine: Provided that those who possess the one year Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) training course certificate granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine conducted in the Government training centre or Institutions approved by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, prior to the introduction of the two years Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) / Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector Course certificate granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, are also eligible for appointment to the said post." Ms. No. 63, School Education [GE], 23rd March 2023, பங்குனி 9, சுðA¼¶, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2054.] No. SRO B-12/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, and in supersession of the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General Service notification issued on 18th March, 1994, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby re-issue the following Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General Service (Section 16 in volume-II of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual 2016):- The rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 3rd December, 2018. CLASS-LXXX DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT EXAMINATIONS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT EXAMINATIONS 1. Constitution This class shall consist of the following posts, namely:- Category-I Deputy Director of Government Examinations. Category-II Assistant Director of Government Examinations. 2. Appointment Appointment to the posts referred to in column (1) below shall be made by the methods specified in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof:-Apr. 19, 2023] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 25 Post Method of Appointment (1) (2) Category I by promotion from among the holders of the post of Assistant Director of Government Deputy Director of Government Examinations. Examinations. Provided that promotion shall be made on grounds of merit and ability, seniority being considered only where merit and ability are approximately equal. Category II Assistant Director of Government by recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the post of Superintendent or Examinations. Accountant in the Department of Government Examinations in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Services. 3. Appointing Authority Appointing authority for the above categories of posts is Government. 4. Preparation of annual list of approved Candidates For the purpose of drawal of annual list of approved candidates for appointment to the above posts, in the case, the crucial date on which the candidate should be qualified shall be the 1st September of every year. 5. Probation Every person who has been appointed to the post of Assistant Director of Government Examinations shall, from the date on which he/she joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. 6. Transfer and Postings Transfers and postings to the posts of Deputy Director of Government Examinations and Assistant Director of Government Examinations shall be made by the Director of Government Examinations.
